Flashed omni build and latest 161020 build.
Pretty much same features except additional settings menu in cm13 build which provides live display, gesture and dt2w. On omni build with stock kernel battery drain was moderate but good. But m noticing cm13 build is better optimised and faster.. Using native system root and gapps pico.
Omni comes with DSLR sound while cm13 build comes with COS latest 10band audioFX and sound wise, cm13 build is better.
Omni comes with snap camera while cm13 comes with cameraNext. Both carry 2 camera apps.. I feel cameraNext pic quality is better in comparison to the same lighting pics I took.
Everything works.
For wonderers-
Install kernel auditor mod and use conservative governor with both ROMs for best battery.. Enable multicore power save.
Procedure used.> flash ROM and reboot. Reboot recovery flash gapps and reboot.
Error faced: PS FC resolved with using terminal app fine location command.
Omni version is tested and compatible with lightening kernel omni version. Has been proven to give 7hrs SOT with minor kernel mods as adviced by kernel dev.
Hope that helps anyone who wants to know the difference.

What an extraordinary effort by Wu!!! Latest cm based build has everything working for me. Xposed module miuitweaks v8 is now functional as well. Xda labs which crashed upon opening in omni build now works like a charm.

The screenshot attached appeared in wu's baidu folder. In the next build, no sim bug will be fixed: the Chinese app workaround won't be needed anymore!

Actually there was a zip 6.10.20-1, which broke the "add to chat" menu in whatsapp, telegram etc and hence he removed it. So the present zip is a fix for that
Don't know how to contact him though

Been using the Miui 8 omni build by Wux + Lightning kernel. It's been perfect and the battery life was wonderful. Just wanted to know whether do you have a link for a thread of his omni version so that We'll know when he pushes an update.

Omni version of the rom won't get any update. I suggest you to switch to CM based version (maybe wait later today, version 6.10.24 is out and we are waiting @zjxpot to download it to make the classic mega and Gdrive mirrors).
