MIUI or Cyanogen for privacy?

Planning on finally getting the phone on the 20th (open day). I really like the look and functionality of MIUI and it's been ages since I used Cyanogen. Can anyone who has used MIUI and Cyanogen possibly post to explain which ROM provides the greatest control over privacy? Google seem to really own you when you sign up and would like to minimise the amount of data I give away :)

Thanks guys - is it an App or feature of the ROM? I haven't used Android for about 2 years now.

Define what you mean by privacy. If you use gmail, that data is already going to Google. If you use Facebook, quite a lot of data is already going there.

privacy guard is a cyanogen thing that lets you limit what a app can access. that means you can basically stop them from sending data, but also for checking what's on your storage and so on.
