Note to Mods: Will attach logs next time I use OOS, using AOSP currently however this can be reproduced on another person's phone with OOS.
I use Tidal to play Lossless music on my phone, usually in combination with a pair of Apt-x headphones, however this happens with headphones too. Rooted or Unrooted.
Issue comes when streaming music over LTE, the track will take anywhere from 30s to 3 Minutes to "Buffer" in high quality (HiFi quality) (I have unlimited data)

It is Not my carriers fault, or the phones fault, as on any LineageOS or AOSP rom, it plays near instantly. On WiFi the delay is shorter (did it just as a test) however it is still near instant on WiFi on AOSP.

I really never use WiFi as have unlimited data, so I'm assuming it is either a bug with the radio on OOS or something else that's stopping it. OOS would be a daily driver if this could be fixed. I'm happy to test betas of a potential fix, and I'll offer a temp account to tidal for any devs working in it (have 1 or 2 slots free on family subscription)

Did you try to wipe cache and data of the Tidal app? I was facing the same issue with my OP3T and doing that solved my problems.

Correction, the buffer issue is happening once again to me as well. I'm on beta 24 build.

Yep, also been into recovery and cleared system caches. It's reproducible on 2 other OP5s i have access to, and those are completely stock (i am rooted, stock). It's literally just OOS. Works fine on AOPS, LineageOS etc

So, the staff member responsible for messaging me for logs to fix this - @Bob Ong , is ignoring my replies to his private message where i asked for an update. The issue is however FIXED in Open Beta 1 for the OnePlus 5 (NOT the most recent Stable OOS, still broken there.) (and, the open beta is REALLY stable, other than some frame drops on the UI. I'm happy to stay on Oreo until it breaks again, and then i'll post another update here.
