It is caused by physical stress on the screen. Maybe, too tight a Jean pocket? This doesn't happen automatically.

The blue color spreading can start instantly. It's definitely pressure. Have seen such cases a lot of time on the forum and it is always physical pressure or damage to the screen.

A premium smartphone doesn't mean it should take all the abuse. Even a top end phone from other manufacturer will have the same problem.

What you're seeing (purple inky blotches) is due to physical damage/failure or impact, of the OLED display panel.

The only solution is having the display assembly replaced.

I suggest you call an authorized OnePlus service center and take or send your device for inspection and quote on possible repairs.

premium smartphone doesn't mean it's built by Tony Stark to sustain extreme pressure like Thanos finger swipe,
there are certain limitations and regulations to use a object for better life.

It didn't "automatically trun into blue screen".

This was caused by some sort of physical damage or pressure on the OLED display panel, It's broken. Shit like that don't happen by itself.

Just because it happened on a particular day, the damage to the OLED panel could have occurred days/weeks before hand.

A sudden bumb or impact, even pressure on the display from being in your pocket.

Any number of this could have caused this, it did not happen for no reason.
