The problem is really that OnePlus's video showed the absolute WORST way I can imagine trying to remove the back, but then their instructions (which I didn't read) show a good way especially since they even include a tool.

Are they hard to get? Yes. They posted on Facebook to reply in order to be in a raffle for the few hundred (no exact number given) StyleSwaps that passed their quality inspection. I think about 500 replied to the FB post, and I got a surprise OnePlus Invite a week or so later. Ordered it immediately and took a while for DHL to deliver from Hong Kong. So at this point, no more available unless they come up for sale from a current owner.

Also, first post has been edited to include the installation video. Warning, it's as crappy a video as the first.

NO, OnePlus stated they will NOT be producing any StyleSwap covers. Bait and switch. Take our money then back out on promises.

Promises?! Sheesh. They had plans to make multiple StyleSwap. I believe rightfully so, they found that they didn't make the back easy enough to remove causing them to place high priority on that for designing the Two. Also, with it taking so long to ramp up production/sales, they probably don't feel like they are selling enough One's to have enough demand for multiple StyleSwaps.

I think most would agree that their efforts are best placed on increasing sales/availability of the phone itself, and deal with the various backs later. I believed this before I was lucky enough to get this bamboo back. They SHOULD take it out of the Accessories store, but maybe they keep it in there to continually assess demand for the product in the future.
