    Hi,

My phone is 1 year old and it has also already started to lag a lot. In chrome to write, keyboard does not show instantly. It takes considerable time to show up ( same time as 2-3 years back phone took). Every app I use takes time to open.

please suggest how to get back it to its original speed

Temporary? Not necessarily. The reason it's slowing down is because you never cleaned out any of the extra crap built up over the time you've owned it, resulting in it getting sluggish. It's important to format your device every once in awhile to avoid this, especially when a new Android version is released (Pie to 10 in this case). Do a backup of your data, put it on Google Drive and format it. Trust me.

The performance also depends upon ,how much memory space is available. For example i use 128gb model, whenever i fill more than 100gb or 110gb,i see drastic change in mobile performance. Whether it is app opening or Screen loading it takes a bit of time, then it used to. But when i maintain my memory usage somewhere between 70gb to 90gb,i dont experience any hassle and it is buttery smooth as usual. As other users suggested try formatting,it does removes unwanted caches and residual files, that your mobile has developed over the years.

One plus intentionally slowing down older phones like my 5T to force people to upgrade to newer phones. This is Shit.

My opinion do a full factory rest and all apps are downloading fresh apps. Before installation of your backup once scan before send it back to your phone then you get a batter speed. Make sure you are on latest version of OOS (10.3.6).
