I let it run down the recharged it and it's working fine now.
I've noticed that while my phone has generally good battery life, sometimes it drops really fast initially.
Today it dropped from fully charged to 80% in one hour despite sitting in my pocket doing nothing. It was hot to the touch but I had no background apps running.
Now it is down to 63% after 3 hours... All I have done is checked email and news and Facebook, no gaming or video.
It seems quite random, some days it did this others not. Yesterday I listened to music for the did his and the battery died only 10%.
I'm having this issue, too, and would like to start from scratch. How do I completely reinstall the latest, full OTA update from scratch, completely formatting everything and restoring to factory defaults with a locked bootloader - as if the phone was brand new on the latest version of the OS?
Edit: to answer my own question, here's a guide on how to restore the OnePlus 3 to stock, using the latest official ROM: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...-3-3t-and-go-back-completely-to-stock.456232/
I've been facing same problem after updating Naugat and OS 4.0.3. I went to service Centre and he suggest me to downgrade my Firmware to Marshmallow and OS. Now it's working fine.
Is there an update of the system expected any soon?

new update is creating battery issue
I don't have battery problem. My oneplus 3 just freezes and crashes for a bit and hard to turn it back on
Am having a battery issue since the latest update to Oxygen 4.1.3 and android 7.1.1. Battery drains quicker than normal and now jumps between percentages. Was on 44% then it went straight to 8% and got battery low warning and now back at 40%
teoff. Those from Oneplus are starting to make us happy. I feel like we'll stay with the ones with Oneplus 2. Coming Oneplus 5 and new kms. Hmmm to believe them! If I see our troff. If I see you do not Treats with indifference to Oneplus 5 I immediately move another Brend. I hope to learn from Apple to respect the customer. Nexus lost to this chapter, for me it's a r ... t.

Attached is my battery graph and phone is constantly a awake.
Please can someone with this
i dont even get 3 hours of SOT on my oneplus 3, i'm doing something wrong i assume :')
I dont use Bluetooth
GPS is off for like 80% of the time
I use Twitch for 1,5 hours a day
Whatsapp for 0,5 hour a day
Brightness at aprox 60-70%
Using Spotify for 1 hour a day
70% of the day i'm on 4G
is this really draining my battery so much?
EDIT: some say that Lineage OS or Resurruction Remix are better then OOS, but i lke the OOS feature to lock an app in your RAM (the lock icon by recents apps) so i wanna stick to OOS
The 60 to 70% brightness is what's hurting your battery life. I only keep mine around 25% and it's plenty bright for me.
any other tips? because i kinda need the brightness level if i wanna use my phone outside (or in the bus)
Not really. Other than turning your brightness down. You could try "apps auto launch " feature and see if that makes a difference but I'm guessing turning your brightness down some would increase your battery life.
I have 1hour 30 minuts SOT now...
Still suckish batterylife
edit: at 4% i had 3 hours SOT, and android os used 11% and android system 9%
