Got my OP3 few weeks back and again I went for my favorite - Skinnova skins by gadgetshieldz. Dabbled with their fantastic skin customization options, this time even offering a split design for the back and sides of the OP3. As I already love the ebony texture, I really wanted to enjoy the same texture on my OP3. Ordered ebony wood for the rear, bamboo for the top/bottom, camera, OnePlus logo and their clear screen protector for the front. If you order a back center skin and a top/bottom skin, you really don't need a side skin separately as the backs bend over to the sides. I was not aware of this and ordered a side skin too which is now lying unused.

With the thin metal frames, had to use the hair dryer a lot to get the skins bend over the edges and sides. Even the top and bottom will take some patience to apply. Used a lot of hair dryer and pressure on the edges to make sure the skin won't peel off and you won't see too much of the skin bubbling out. The metal body and the bumped camera everything was perfectly covered and the final result looked phenomenal.

Even used the coupon PROTECT10 for a 10% discount.

Took almost 30 mins for the skin and 15-20 mins for the front screen shield protector. Has to use the hair dryer a lottttt...You can't apply this skin without a hair dryer. Period. :)

I have applied skinnova skins before too on my OP2. But that was a relatively easier affair...On the OP3, had to use the hair dryer a lot to get the skins to bend over the edges and sides. For the bottom, align the skin first using the speaker holes and charging port, heat the skins and bend them over.

You will have to use the hair dryer at each and every step of the application, especially on edges and corners where the skin pieces bend. Even referred to some Dbrand videos since these skins are the same as Dbrand skins.

Looks nice! I'm not a fan of the camera skin option (I usually don't put those on) but overall looks like it turned out great!

nice! Like it. Do you get any heat issues with these skins? I have a leather backed moto X and it's always overheating... although that does use real leather!

It's a wet apply screen protector from Gadgetshieldz. Same brand as the skins that I have applied.

I am seeing the same amount of heat that I experienced before applying the skins. I haven't faced anything abnormal as far as the heating issues are concerned. I guess there are enough openings in the skin for the heat to dissipate.
