    Most likely it was a static-electricity discharge.
    More importantly, repeated static discharges (usually high-voltage/low amperage) could damage the phones internal components.

    Suggest you talk with Oneplus Support and have your problem/complaint registered.

    I use the carbon bumper case. So I'm insolated.. Problem solved.. My phone works perfectly here in Belgium..
