My phone was working 100% normally before this then
I was trying to get usb tethering to work for the first time with my phone and imac, and I was watching a youtube video using picture in picture then I tried to turn the volume down using the volume buttons and they weren't doing anything so about 5 seconds later I hold the power button and press restart and the phone turns off but then never turns back on.
    What I've tried:
holding the power button for a long time
holding the power button and the volume button for a long time
    Pluging it in
all these things dont make the phone vibrate or the screen do anything
what should I do, do I need to reset my phone and how do I do that without the screen turning on ( I have acces to a computer but I dont know how to make it reset the phone)
or do I need to take It to a repair shop

btw I have the latest update on my oneplus 6t (from a few days ago)

You have tried all the usual remedies for your issue. I have known the phone to recover by itself after leaving it, say, overnight.

Failing that, you can you use the OnePlus tool for bricked phones...

    [TOOL] 6T MsmDownloadTool v4.0.59 (OOS v9.0.13)

(N.B. Not for the T-Mobile (USA) carrier minority variant)

thanks for replying I'm going to go to a repair shop first to make sure the problem isn't with the battery or anything and I'll try this if they don't know how to fix it
edit: this is only for windows machines and I only have access to a mac but I will make sure to look up how to do it on a mac if is possible.
