I just started using it this weekend and after draining the battery I am unable to charge my drone. Followed instructions 1. switched device off 2. plugged into usb on my macbook and into a wall socket but on either of them it does not show the red light indicating its charging. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Does the light on your cable goes on? If not, than your cable is broken. Which means that you'll get your money back by making a RMA at support.

Yes, there is a white light in your cable at the USB port of the cable, this should light up when you're charging your DR-1

ok so when i switch it to the "on" position i see the red light go on at the end of the USB cable. But when following the instructions and switching it to off then plugging it in, it does come on and I know its not fully charged

Hmm, and your DR-1 can't fly? Maybe it comes fully charged out of the factory.

Edit: Wait on a other answer from a other forum member, or start a case so you get your money back.

Wow, that is a really big problem. Can you keep the cable in the DR-1 for a few hours. Maybe it starts charging, if not you can always create a RMA.

First non-spam thread today... Is already filled with spam:( by the way I hope that you can solve the problem;)

Edit. Could it be a bad battery?

Switch it off also switch off the controller, plug in the charging cable, it will light up. Plug the other end into wall plug and leave it for 20mins.

Uplug and switch on dr-1 then switch on the control. The dr-1 will beep, move the left joystick to the top, it will beep again the move to the bottom it will beep again.

Your calibrated and ready to fry.
