Managed to use a galaxy s5 qi charger and hard wire it to the USB pins! NFC intact! Its almost a match made in heaven. This is not a diy guide. Use it only as reference. It can be done!

I used a generic kit from eBay. Peeled off the NFC sticker and put the coil between it.

Just solder 1 strand of wire to the ground and power of USB input. Wire it so that it matches when the cover is closed. Wireless charging is 15% in 1 hour.

Nice! That was one of the things I was wondering if the OPO had, wireless charging.
I have a portable Qi battery I use for my current S4, and I realized that I rarely really use the wireless charging, plus the USB cable allows me to charge while I throw my phone in my pocket or bag. I've convinced myself that wireless charging is a gimmick so that I could justify the OPO. :p

Depending on how this battery attaches already...in theory you could make a quick disconnect or a ribbon style connector to the existing battery and a new OEM battery and have swappable battery's...??

Thanks! I'm loving the convenience so far. FYI, I tried the USB qi charger adapter but only got 50mA current :(

Yes! That's beyond my skill level though. There's so little room to play with. Maybe redesign a quick detachable case with some more room... Wink wink one plus

I saw a thread of someone using their charger box as a dock and used a Cork to keep the opo up. So I came up with this. which I'm now getting a consistent 0.9mA!!

Sorry I didn't realize my opo was in HDR mode

Great job, I would consider it if it wasn't so tricky to remove the cover (and my soldering skills were better than almost non-existant)

Okay cool was just curious, I like to charge over night but the offical charges much too quick and would be charged at max for probably 6.5hours

You know I installed the same adapter in my wife's opo and can get up to 300ma charge speed. Compared to my 900ma. It's decent though. My wife's is the same brand as antbox's too
