Oh, I misread that and thought the opposite. How does OP support CM users since their shutdown? I guess that's what customer support if for, but I'm not giving them remote access if that's what "customer support" means.

I originally wanted LineageOS 14.1, but that kept failing to flash in TWRP. Something about `
oppo.verify_trustzone` failing which I can't seem to find a lot of information about so I don't want to get into it.

Try updating step-by-step. From CM11 to CM12 and from CM12 to CM13 and so on. If that doesn't work, let me know and I can do my best to help you.

(This will erase all of your data) Go into TWRP, wipe everything except for wherever your LineageOS 14.1 download file is. Then, try flashing the ROM again.

If your looking for stability: stable is the way to go. If you want the newest features first and usually very good stability: go with the open beta.

I will just guide you, Google the things you need to download.
First flash latest TWRP recovery. Then search for jgcapp firmware for opo and flash it. Then flash any ROM you want. Stay away from oos2.1.4 , it's crap compared to what we have in nougat

I'm looking for firmware specifically, right?

    https://basketbuild.com/devs/jgcaap

Can I go with OnePlusFirmware.zip or do I need something specific like OnePlusFirmware-CM.zip?

First flash latest twrp then reboot to recovery then flash this firmware
    http://download.jgcaap.xyz/files/oneplusone/firmware/OnePlusFirmware-01022016.zip
Then google hyper dirty unicorns by alebcay . Flash that rom and bean gapps. That's the best combo right now . Best performance and battery life for any type of usage , at least for me. Flash oos blobs and lightning kernel oos 56 if you want best camera quality available for our opo

    Thanks for all the help.

    I've done all this exactly.

    Factory reset to stock CM11.
    Connect to PC via ADB.
    Booted into bootloader.
    Unlocked the bootloader.
    Flash TWRP 3.1.1 to recovery.
    Rebooted into TWRP.
    Flashed OnePlusFirmware-01022016.
    Wiped cache.
    Rebooted into TWRP.
    Flashed hyperUnicorns_bacon_7.1.2_20170408 with BeansGapps-Full-7.1.x-20170610.
    Wiped cache.
    Rebooted into OS.

And it appears to be working. I rebooted the system a dozen times so far to see if the dreaded bootloop happens, but not so far.

Thank you again for pointing me to the right resources!

    Hey all,

I seem to be having a problem with my mic. Phone, Hangouts, Telegram, Skype, Discord... nothing seem to be detecting my mic at all. Sound recorders work. I can record audio within Skype and Telegram, send it, and the recipient can hear it. Not live mic. Also I don't have OK Google setup so I don't need to switch off the option for every screen.

While HU has been great so far, it's not stable enough for me to run on my primary daily driver. Apps keep crashing on me, notifications don't pop until the device is unlocked, and the mic doesn't work at all during calls. Customer support won't do anything except flash CM11 on it, so I'm just going to look for a new device that's isn't dependent on running abandonware.

By far the most popular and well supported ROM for OPO is LineageOS 14.1. There are many threads on how to install it. The community provides much better support for software than customer service.

I am personally using Slim 7.1.2 on my OPO, and it runs like a champ.

No need to abandon solid hardware with such great community support.
