    Hi,
    So i'm using WIndows 10, x64 OS.
My phone was never been rooted, it runs Android , and Cyanogen OS 13.1-ZNH2KAS1KN.

I'm trying to root it, and to follow guides, but the thing is that i'm always getting stuck on the ADB thing.

Even if i download - tried from different places the ADB tools, my device manager doesn't recognizes it, and i can't update the driver into the Android ADB, and if i try to search the driver manually, it will tell me the file is not compatible with x64 systems, although it says clearly on the file that it fits x64 OS.

(I also deactivated driver signature enforcement before trying to install, didn't make any difference)

Confused already, and really looking for help here, Appreciating any help

Did you try another USB cable as some are not capable to transfer data.

it's windows 10 that is causing those problems. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Have you tried after restarting your compu?
Do you have USB debugging enabled on your phone in developer options?

I know it can be a pain in the **** :(
Use the search of the forum as much has been written about it already. Maybe you'll find THE answer in one of them.

Make sure your computer is updated, even the most insignificant update can cause problems. Remove all the drivers and plug your phone in to your computer. Wait to see what happens, if it starts looking for the driver wait. If it does nothing, reboot your phone while it is still connected.

no new updates to do, the phone is recognized , What it doesn't do, is letting me update the driver in device manager.
In all the tutorials, it mentions i need to update the driver, and change it to the ADP, but that option doesn't exist.... too confusing -_-

So after continuing, doesn't matter which driver i try to update, it tells me
"the folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with windows for x64-based systems."

Even with the Samsung -_- wtf

    i removed it , yes....
Doesn't matter what ,it always says the same thing about its not designed to work with windows x64, even though it clearly mentioned the driver is for x64 OS -_-

It's been ages since I had to do this, but I remember Windows 10 giving me issues (this was after the phone had already been rooted, boot loader unlocked, etc...) so it was just with updating the driver. I had originally did it in Windows Vista. I'm trying to remember if I had to either run as Administrator (although I think I was already setup as an admin) or perhaps run somehow in compatibility mode?

Guess it's been too long! Do you happen to have access to another PC/Laptop that is not running Windows 10?
