    1) perform a network reset in settings > backup & restore and see.
    2) Also perform a cache wipe in recovery mode and see.

    Try

    >First go to settings
    >Delete all apn Settings
    >Then go back to Settings
    >Mobile Network Settings
    >Access Point Names
    >Open the three dots on the right hand corner
    > Reset toDefault.
    >reboot your phone
Doing this might correct the apn problem.
Your phone is most likely doing this because it believes the apn settings are incorrect.
If that fails, find someone with same network provider and use their apn settings.
Hopefully this will resolve the problem

Which network provider, what area are you in? Are you using a sim card from a previous device?

I've had this exact issue since doing an os upgrade about oct/Nov last year. Whenever the phone powers down and up again you have to eject and reinsert the SIM to get the phone to recognise the presence of a sim card. Highly frustrating as it means carrying an eject tool around! Has oneplus acknowledged this as it seems like a software issue? Mines a plus 3t

I am also having this problem, I have a 3t when ever I restart I loose connection and have to eject my sim to get it working again.

Has anyone found a solution as I've tried factory reset, network reset checked APN settings, changed it to sim 2 still not luck.

Further Update: today I tried with another sim and it did the same thing, however if i have 2 sims in and restart it is fine, I get full signal on both sims.

I also have this issue! I have oneplus3T. I want to buy a OnePlus6. Only reason I am hesitating is this problem.

Really like OnePlus, but now considering Pixel if fix is not identified
