Bought 5T just as the phone released in the market. Got three of my friends to buy it too as I was impressed and aligned with OP's philosophy. However, after the lack of updates and step motherly treatment after two years has got me done with it. I have raised multiple issues and see other users have too, but with no resolution for over 6 months! Now, I don't even bother looking at new releases from OP. It's going to be Apple. Atleast I know what I'm signing up for.

    One Plus, Never again.

You are aware, that the OP5 already reached end of life? You are aware, that Oneplus decided to Release Android 10 for the 5,althogh it never was planned to do so? So they gave you something for free, a present, and now you are complaining? You got more than you ve paid for, and you re complaining?????

People arent ungratefull... but releasing stuff that doesnt work is worse than not releasing stuff at all... A stable android 9 is way better than a bad Android 10...

OP5 is actually quite a stable device considering how old it is. Not sure what issues you have? care to elaborate?

Im not having Big issues too. But its still notable. Just Updating Security Patch on Pie would have been way cooler than Android 10. And Constantly Reseting cant be a Solution at all, not everyone wants to take its time to setup the phone every 6Months or even more.

I guess you're not made for Android: you'll find few devices that age that upgraded to 10 like the 5(T).
    Have fun with Apple.

Batteries wear out with time, if you have charged your phone every day for 2-3 years it may be time to replace it...

Still, a battery is rated for 500-1000 cycles and after that it need to be replaced... You can always downgrade to Pie and see it the battery life improves... Rollback zip can bi found in the last and final open beta thread.

Ofcourse you can get Apple and enjoy software updates for 5 years, but I would prefer getting 2 Android flagships and use each for 3 years and have a better experience than purchasing a single overpriced device and using it for half a decade o_O

Keep your device overnight for charging, do this for a day or two and all of your apps will get optimized. This will make them use much less cpu and they will load faster too.

When you keep your device on charge overnight and not move it for a long time, it triggers dex2oat optimization. This will create files in the dalvik/art partition which will be used when apps are launched and in turn use less resources. It will take up some space tho, somewhere around 500mb to 1gb.
