    ******* random reboots are to goddamned annoying! Had more than 5 of them yesterday!

    Also my phone was almost so hot you could bake an egg on it while it was just in my pocket doing nothing...

    What I did for the mean time that seems to have resolved the issue of flickering and smoothed out the system considerably is disabling HW Overlays and forcing GPU Rendering. Both options are in developer options. My OPO hasn't stuttered, flickered, or had any problems since I checked off those options.

    For those who don't know how to turn on developer options:

    1. Go to Settings
    2. About Phone
    3. Tap Build number (second from the bottom) 7 times

    After this you will have access to developer options. Click on that and check "Force GPU rendering" and check "Disable HW overlays".

    I don't know what the hell any of that is, but I found it in some forums for some other phones and it did the trick. It'll tide me over until the update.

    There are no problems with all that on 38R on recent phones, I siggest you do a fresh ROM install.

    Or wait for next OTA maybe it will break your phone even more :)
