One word of advice, throw a good amount of money into the GPU if you're going to be gaming

The AMD FX- 8350 is a beast. Even though it has slower individual cores you won't feel any difference when gaming. I would save money to buy a 280x/290/290x (Whichever you can afford) but wait until the amd's 3XX series come out. You should be able to snag some deals.

Is there a difference between 8350 and 8320e? Also does anyone know why cheaping on mobo is bad?

The 8320 has lesser power and clocked .5 lower, it is a very good deal. Also do not get the E version of any because they are less powerful and saves you a few dollars, a few as in 3, sometimes it is more expensive than the better non-E version. I suggest you get the FX-8320 (no e) if you have a low budget, fx-6300 if you really need your money, fx-8350 when affordable.

Why Windows 7? Go for a Windows 8. Why go for a normal hard drive? Go for a SSD and that hard drive. I am using Kingston SSD and 1 WD Black. For your CPU, go for i5. i5 is good enough. Actually, i3 is also not bad if you have a tight budget. For your motherboard, stick with ehh... ASUS. For your RAM, since you are getting a gaming rig, get at least 8 GB or 16 GB.

The build he posted is what he already owns from a while back, he just wants a new CPU, Mobo, and ram, he is getting a new GPU later.

I agree that windows 8 is better for gaming but both will soon be receiving the windows 10 upgrade. He clearly isn't on a budget that can afford an SSD, and they don't really improve anything other than bootup times and opening programs. i3 is just ehh. i5 is really good, but isn't the best bang for buck. i7 is not needed whatsoever in a gaming rig. ASUS is a great brand and I definitely recommend. For RAM you don't need anything over 8, but you also don't want anything lower than 8.

12gb of ram is pretty good, and windows 7 will get windows 10, so he could just update straight to windows 10 instead.

Well my budget isn't really that restricted its just that I don't want to spend a lot of money on a computer. I can get an ssd and ive tried both windows 8 and 10 developer version its not my choose of preference. As for ram I have 8gb ddr2 in my current build and I think its kinda overkill for my outdated PC.

The fx 8320e is 3.2ghz and can turbo to 4ghz so technically would it be the same as the fx 8350 when its on turbo. Also the cooler I have is compatible with am3+ so I guess I can do some good overclocking. Does this CPU have built in GPU so I wouldn't need a GPU while I'm waiting for a new one. So should I go for the 8320 or the 8320e and keep it on turbo at all times

I can spend £200 on a good GPU if I wait a month or so so I'm pretty sure I can get the gtx 960 or 970 under that price

Quick update, I will be going with the core i3 4350 with 8gb ram and a x110 sandisk ssd. It will be in a gigabyte h81 motherboard with a gtx 960.
