Are you getting the continuous autofocus issue in video? Does the behavior change based on apps used?

I get 6 to 8 hours SOT on my nexus 6 depending on use. The battery is amazing, better than my OPO which gives me about 4.5 hours SOT. (using custom rom/kernel combo likely has something to do with battery performance)

I agree with this, I've been getting good battery life on my Nexus 6 after I removed drive encryption... I love my OPO, but Nexus 6 feels more premium for me.

That was the first thing i did, Flashed leankernel and removed encryption. Made a huge difference in speeds and performance.

A good smartphone does not need a custom ROM... I like mine stock... If I'm no longer satisfied, then I go custom.

So 105% the performance of the OPO yet 190% the price tag, hmmm some logic.

This seems like a trolling thread by the O.P., but I'll bite.

Clearly the Nexus 6 is a newer model and likely wins in some respects such as:

    -better screen
    -better support
    -better processor
-possibly better camera (I've read some unfavorable reviews, also)

OPO probably wins in other respects:
-better battery life (according to most reviews)
-much better price while being in the same general performance tier

If you're paying the same monthly bill for a nexus 6 phone on subsidized contract as for bringing your own device then your carrier was really overcharging you.

For sure, if I won millions in the lottery, I'd choose the Nexus 6 or some other phones over the OPO, but since the double price of the Nexus 6 over the OPO only makes it incrementally better for my uses, I'm quite happy to use that $350 for things I find much more valuable to me.

And honestly, if money were no object, I'd probably choose the Note 4 over the Nexus 6 because I like the precise stylus control, which you don't get on normal touch screens.

Everyone will make different choices about "better."
