Night Sky Photography on your OnePlus Tutorial [Pro Mode] Aug 26, 2019

Take advantage of the OnePlus Pro camera mode to take your photography to the next level. Learn to capture the night starry sky. It is the best way to capture the night view whether you are hiking in the mountains or enjoying solitude on your terrace. Let me take you through step by step instructions and at the end, you would have results like these





To get started you would require :
1. OnePlus Smartphone with Pro Camera mode settings (I am using a OnePlus 7)
2. Any Tripod/Gorilla pod or any other arrangement to keep your camera still for a few seconds.

Some basic information:

• We would like to open the shutter of the camera for a longer duration to capture maximum possible light. But to get the best possible results we would want the lowest possible moonlight. A new moon day would be ideal but even a low moonlit sky would be okay.
• Also, to have a clear image we would require low pollution and dust-free sky.
• I would suggest a higher altitude place possible. (Terrace of a tall building would also work)
• Try to avoid the horizon as it would have a lot of pollution and light.

Diving into the settings (Pro camera mode):
1. Set shutter speed to maximum possible - 30 sec

2. Set ISO to the minimum level - 100 (reduces the sensitivity of camera sensor for max clarity)

3. Set focus to manual

4. Set WB to Auto (you could play around to get warm/cold color tone)
