I cant find the option of 60fps in the YouTube app on the OP3 when watching a video that has this option. How can I enable it?

Whaaaat? They were stupid enough to leave the 60 fps recording out of the camera app, but this?

Google is responsible for the Youtube app, so how would this be possible?

I'am going to check it today afternoon.

Are you guys talking about not being able to see 60fps videos or something to do with uploading?

When you click the wheel to change the video quality there is no 60fps option.

Do you have the latest version of the youtube app installed? The older versions didn't had this option and maybe there is an old version installed on the OP3!?

I had the same problem and just recently got it to work... somehow... I'm not sure what exactly it fixed but I've deleted the app cache and data multiple, countless times, also rebooted the phone a dozen of times. Another thing I did was going to Settings -> Apps -> YouTube -> Permissions and enable it EVERYTHING that was there.

Then it suddenly worked... out of nowhere.

I'm not sure if it's the missing permissions or something else but I know that it almost costed me a day to try around sh*t YouTube is probably responsible for.

I tried deleting the cashe but it didn't work. I will try to do it multiple times and see if it will work.

Yeah, so far that's the only way which worked for me... I also can't reproduce the "before 60 FPS" state anymore by reversing stuff I did so I can't really tell.

Enabling all permissions and deleting the cache and settings did only one thing: insead of showing a seperate menu, I've got the on screen buttons back. 60fps was no option though.

Yeah, it's a pain in the butt to be honest, but I think it's the pre-installed YouTube app derping up here. Not sure if this fault is on OnePlus's or YouTubes side since I've never seen those problems on other devices.

I have the same problem. There are already more threads about this topic so it seems to be a general issue.

Man thats annoying ...I finally got a device with crisp display and now that shit... 80% off YTs game videos are running in 60fps... :-/

Hopefully someone of OnePlus will take care about that or get in touch with Google / YT to get the OP3 on the whitelist for YT 60fps ...

The device itself is a beast and I couldn't be luckier with it ...but no 60fps vids in YT is a bummer :-(
