No hope in fixing Gmail notifications ?? via OnePlus 9 Pro

  1. Q1516004612438 , via OnePlus 9 Pro , Sep 18, 2021 :
Hello, I've been using the OP 9 pro for over 3 months now, running latest software release, still to this day after so many users complaining and bug reporting, I can't get Gmail notifications to work. I keep missing important work emails unless I manually check every now and then.

I've tried every solution posted on these forums, clearing cache, resetting my phone, disabling adaptive notifications, you name it, still no luck !

Only thing that works is I restart my phone every morning and Gmail notifications will work for a few hours only, then suddenly stop

I've given up at this point and it seems this issue will never be fixed :/

To fix this permanently do the following:
Settings -> Apps & Notifications -> Special app access -> Adaptive Notifications and Select NONE.
Restart the phone and all should be good now.

I did a few times, yes it returns to normal and even after placing it on none and restarting the phone, it doesn't work .

I tried the following after reading a couple of solutions (mix and match) and I now seem to be getting the notifications, not sure how long it will last or which part has resolved it but below is what I've done.

    1. Under the battery for apps Gmail and Google Services Framework set to don't optimise.
    2. Uninstalled updates and turned off auto update on Gmail app.
    3. Forced stop Gmail app, and cleared cache and data (under app info).
    4. Rebooted phone.
Once I opened Gmail after reboot, I had to set it back up, but so far I'm receiving notifications when an email arrives.

Thank you for the suggestion, I just tried that and unfortunately it still doesn't work.

I don't think the issue from the device. As I have same issue with Non - OnePlus mobiles too.

I'm having the same issue with the OnePlus9. Galaxy Tab S7 has no issues. I've done everything in this post and it seems that Gmail doesn't sync unless I open it. Even under settings it shows the circle arrows, but doesn't seem to spin or update.

Try this. Make sure you downloaded the latest Gmail app from play store. Clear storage and cache within Gmail app.
Restart the phone. Make sure you enabled Notifications in Gmail > Settings > Your account > Inbox notifications.

Do not use Do Not Disturb.
