At my experience, it should be enough to turn on 'Animator duration scale' to .5x under Developer options

The best solution I've seen for this is an app called "Always on AMOLED | Edge Lighting"...(yes, I know, LONG name!!)

Whenever you get a notification there is an LED ring around the whole phone, and it's extremely customizable. I'm still trying to get the settings all figured out - if anything, there are maybe too many settings, which confuses the functionality a little...but overall I'd give it a 9 out of 10.

What a bad solution you just gave, it changes everything on my phone, who knows what else it did.

I am waiting for this horizon light notification update to come out since may.
Current status of it is that it only shows the light when I receive the notification and what I need is a constant light until I open my notification/tap the phone.
I cant believe it has been this long for this.

The LED on the 5T did not require this to be turned on. There is a large difference in security level between allowing you to know that you have a notification (the LED) and at minimum, knowing which notification service is sending you a notification (current lowest visible setting for lock screen). I think they need more granularity on that, actually.

OnePlus 7 Pro running Oxygen OS 10.0.GM21AA. Is there any simple way to get the Horizon Light to linger longer?

If you use Google Assistant it won't reply if you shout "hey Google" while screen locked. Seen on OP7 PRO with Notify Buddy

I seemed to have this broken with the first Stable release of OOS 10, but it appeared to be fixed on my end after upgrading to OOS 10.0.1.

This totally works! It didn't work for me till I turned on the animation scale either!

When you say it "works".... what do you mean? Does it light up for ALL notifications? Does it light up for more than one second...does it keep lighting up until you acknowledge the notification?

Yup. It lights up for all important notifications. Not "other" notifications. And it lights up just once. Not more than that. Also, it doesn't keep lighting up till I acknowledge the notification. It's a one time thing. Sucks that the animations have to be turned on for it to work. I always turn animations off as that made the phone perform faster.
