No Incoming SMS or MMS on Verizon

    When you guys go onto MyVerizon, does it show as being a OnePlus 6T? Or does it say unknown or similar? I'm curious if Verizon knows it's a OP6T, if that means in the near future they could have this added automatically if it knows it's the 6T?

    Ask for tier 2 support, request the cdma-less provisioning be added to the line that your op6t is on.

    It might be done via tier 1, but the Tech's knowledge about how to fulfill your request is a crap shoot.

    Just got my 6T this AM and am using it on Verizon. Had saw this thread via Reddit and yea, couldn't receive any texts. Called VZW tech support, told him I needed to add the "CDMA_LESS" feature to my SIM due to my device being LTE only and he did so instantly and BOOM texts starting being received.

    Does anyone know if this is a software update situation for it to work on Verizons 3G CDMA? As it does have the proper bands, can OnePlus just push a software update to allow the devise to work on Verizons CDMA as well as the LTE?

    Ugh thanks for this info. Not only did I need to talk to Verizon, I need my company rep to authorize the change to my device first. Hopefully, that won't take too long.

    Everything is awesome so far except for this messaging issue.

    I plan on going in store tomorrow with the device and seeing how easy it is to get them to add CDMA_LESS to my line... I will report back.

    Just a heads up, it would definitely be much less trouble on your end to simply call tech support. I doubt the folks in store can do it and would end up having to call into tech support themselves.

    I went up to VZW Tier 3 tech support, who finally understood what I was asking. When she tried to add CDMA_LESS, the system kept throwing an error that she can't add that feature. Ended up having to put in the DMD form for the device to be added to the database as an LTE-only phone so they can provision it with CDMA_LESS. Not sure how other techs were able to get around that, but that's where I'm sitting.

    I'm curious how your phone shows up in MyVerizon... I saw others post that it just showed as a generic device. Mine actually showed up immediately as a "ONEPLUS 6T 8/256GB". I suspect this is already in their database which is why the first Tier 1 tech was able to add so quickly for me (where-as if it just shows as a generic device they wouldn't have the device specific options available).

    If it doesn't show as that device in MyVerizon, try re-activating the device (can just pop your SIM into another phone then back into the OP6, or talk to a tech.

    Yep, I am doing this just to give my experience doing so. And to also talk directly about this issue with the guy and get recommendations for easier support. My local Verizon person is fairly sharp, and will be able help us all with the proper internal keywords if we are missing any. I just need the phone in hand to do it. My phone arrives tomorrow.

    Have customer support add feature # 83856 for bring your own device. This is the word I just got from tier 2 support. I'll let you know if it works.
