No Incoming SMS or MMS on Verizon

    Reading through this. It seems I should not get the OnePlus 6T.

    As I have Verizon and my current phone (LG G5) says I am on 3G in my office. If I switch to the OnePlus 6T, I then would not have any signal, correct? As the 6T is only a LTE phone for Verizon.

    mine is working on SIM 1. Shows up as 256 but I have a 128, no big deal though. had then add cdma_less and hd voice.

    Just got mine to work. Last night it would not show up as a recognized device on my account. Today when i woke up i saw that it said oneplus 6t on my account. It said it was the 256gb model even though i have the 128gb. So i pulled up chat with them and told the guy that my calls and receiving sms was not working and that i needed to add the cdma_less option. He told me to turn my phone off and to wait while he resets my service. took him about a minute and boom. turned my phone on and all my sms came through. calls work and lte is faster than on my pixel 3 XL

    Scenario: If a user takes an ALREADY ACTIVE VERIZON SIM from his/her Phone and inserts it in the brand new OnePlus 6T then to ensure CDMA-Less feature is activated in their account please have user follow this instruction:

    For current VZ active customers:
    To activate/use an existing number on a new BYOD device, please ensure to log in to your account on www.verizonwireless.com> My Verizon > My Device > Activate or Switch Device and follow the instructions.

    Activated my OP6T on Verizon last night and was able to get all issues solved with Verizon tech support on Twitter. I could not receive texts, or make / receive phone calls, but now everything works great. If you are having the same issues, these are the steps you should take.

    1. Contact Verizon Support on Twitter, call, or go to a store.

    2. Tell them your IMEI for the SIM slot that your Verizon SIM is in. Told them mine, and it was recognized. Verizon is still working on recognizing other IMEI's according to some other forums I saw.

    3. Tell them that the device doesn't work on their CDMA network, and they need to add CDMA-Less provisioning. That way you'll receive SMS/MMS over LTE.

    4. Make sure that HD voice is added to your specific device on your My Verizon account. Log onto My Verizon, go to Plans and Services, then Manage Products and Apps. From there you should be able to add HD Voice (free) to your device. After that, calls should work.

    My successful experience is as follows:

    1. Goto Verizon store to receive new SIM card. Apparently older (2 year+) SIM cards do not have the ability to have the CDMA-less feature turned on/activated. I would recommend getting a new SIM regardless.

    2. If you have already been troubleshooting, factory reset your phone to remove any possible settings interference.

    3. Install SIM in SLOT 1. I had my SIM installed in SLOT 2 and could not get things working. No connectivity outside of wifi whatsoever.

    4. Contact Verizon via chat OR 908-559-4899 <--- great people. Explain you are activated a new phone and SIM. Also request they add the CDMA-less feature with HD voice. Follow all prompts from the tech.

    5. Profit.

    Please note that these are the steps that worked for me. LTE is not available everywhere and so OP6T may not be the phone for you. Please check your coverage area. Good luck everyone!

    So, last night my phone was showing as Unrecognized in My Verizon. This morning it came up as the 6T (albeit the wrong storage size, which a few others have seen).

    I did the live chat thing with Verizon after seeing that other posters had success with it. Got this sorted out in about 5 minutes. 1+ phone on Verizon with CDMA-LESS texting. Yay!

    Edit: note that I did NOT replace my SIM. I've had this card for at least 4 years and have passed it between apple and Android phones.

    Edit2: my voicemail didn't work properly before this (had to call number instead of mails showing up in my phone app). Now it works a expected.

    I just went to VRZ and got a new SIM and they activated everything with no problems. Text even work without them adding any codes. When I looked up my phone previously it says it was not a compatible phone.

    My phone was recognized this morning as a OnePlus 6T (wrong storage size like others). I got home, got on the phone with technical support and got nowhere. I used the "Chat Now" feature and he added the CDMA-less feature. It worked IMMEDIATELY. It took 5 min with the text chat. Amazing.

    Thanks! This worked for me. The level II tech guy actually called me "awesome" for researching the problem first and offering a solution to eliminate having to troubleshoot further.

    Confirmed you just need to ask Verizon to add CDMA_Less to the line and SMS works without issues. For reference, I am in my company's account, not a personal account.

    You can even do this via the chat support feature.

    I was told by Verizon support that my SIM was too old to support the CDMA_Less feature and needed a new one for it to work. I planned to go get one today but read above that you can go to your account and activate a new device so I tired that. I had to go through the process twice. The first time an error occurred but the second time it accepted the device and activated. I instantly got a flood of the text messages I had missed.

    VW finally recognized my 6T device online this morning. Called 3 times to customer support and that warranted nothing. Just chatted with a tech via website, I asked her to add CDMA_LESS to my 6T line, she did and I was swamped with test texts!
