I got the N100 and it was working fine on the first day, the next day an update seems to have been applied on my phone. I don't remember asking for this update and I know this because my phone restarted on it own and once I place my pin it booted back up and says it was finishing the update, now I'm not able to access mobile data. I took the phone to my carrier and they took a look at it. Took my sim card out and place it in anther phone and the sim card worked fine but still did work on my phone. They even replaced the sim card and it still doesn't work. There seems to be an issue with the phone. Not sure if it related to the update that was pushed.

I was told that I should be able to add APN names(and manually configure my phone for Telus) but I don't seem that option at all for me. The option to add an APN is not available for me.

Follow-up, my personal sim is Telus and my work phone sim is Bell.

The phone works with the Bell sim but not the Telus sim.

That would be very strange, can you show a screenshot of the APN menu?

No, I can see them, select them but they are all greyed out. Even when I try discard they still stay there.

This doesn't seem to be a new issue and it seems that I'm not the only one. Why isn't there more info on this? I can't use my phone?! Can I wait for an update to fix this? I was reading some was a week with no data on the phone.

I have the exact same issue. I have the exact same issue.
You can get to a point where you can add a new APN (pop out the sim card and pop it back in and immediately select 'Access Point Names'. A plus sign will now show and you select that. Call Telus and they will provide you all the APN information or you can access the same here: https://apn-canada.gishan.net/en/apn/telus/oneplus-nord
However, after you have input all the information in you get the following message: "operator does not allow adding APNs of type * "
Telus tells me to speak with OnePlus. OnePlus tells me to speak to Telus.
Telus has moved this into their system folks who will get back to me in "a week or so".
    Phone is a brick currently.
This is not a new issue.
The next steps from OnePlus is a series steps (almost incomprehensible) to send them phone logs to chew on.

I submitted a bug report. Is there anyways of knowing when this will be fixed? Should I just return the phone? Is seems that a Oneplus update bricked my phone and I was hoping to hear more from them on this. At least some acknowledgement that this is a problem otherwise it seems that no one is aware of and this and it's not getting fixed or looked at. Depending on how long I'll be without my phone I may just return it.

Same boat here - it has been 3 weeks for me with no data and I could not be more frustrated. I pay for an unlimited data plan too.

Same here on my phone will not work on Telus or Koodo. I have tried all the steps with no success. I am so disappointed with One Plus basically I bought a brick for $400. I don't think I will ever by a One Plus product again. The least thing they should do is warn people it may or may not work. I think a refund is in order but doubt that One Plus will do that.
