Hi all,
I thought I would try flashing CarbonROM onto my 9 Pro, but wasn't aware that it uses an "A/B partition' setup, as nowhere online prior to flashing mentioned this. I came across an error trying to flash TWRP via fastboot and I ended up flashing TWRP straight onto boot_a. Now I am unable to do anything with my device except switch between TWRP recovery and the stock Fastboot screen. I have tried:
-Wipe/Factory Reset
-Format between ext2 and ext4
-Flash stock ROM
-Flash custom ROM
-Using the MSM Tool (getting no further than opening the program and it doesn't detect my device)
-Extracting boot.img from stock firmware download and flashing that
-Erasing and formatting Boot Partitions
-ADB pushing .zip and .img files and trying to flash them via TWRP
The thing holding me back the most is TWRP saying "failed to mount: system root, system ext, product, vendor, odm", as this error comes up after every single action I make via TWRP.
EDIT: stumbled across this guy who actually did a really good job of explaining a few things. Fixed my issue
