MamadJaann , via OnePlus Nord , Feb 25, 2021 : I am living in Dubai where 5g coverage is available, the reason I bought nord is that ut support 5g and have the same band UAE network operator use n78. But unfortunately it doesn't work even it doesn't show the 5g option. Using this device for almost 4 months and yet oneplus didn't fix it. Waste of money and most bugy phone ever.
pablofg1978 , Feb 25, 2021 : Hello there, 5g does not relies on software but in hardware, if the carrier supports the same band that you have on your device then is your sim card or you carrier that is blocking your device.
MamadJaann , via OnePlus Nord , Feb 25, 2021 : Dear, i checked everything, i have 5g supported sim card and nord has the same 5g band n78 as my network carrier and i am living in area where 5g coverage is available. Forget about 5g even not able to use VOLTE. So disappointing as i bought nord for the only reason as it has 5g ready
pablofg1978 , Feb 25, 2021 : 5g and volte are different. You need that your carrier make a certification for Volte, but not for 5g. Like I said before, you carrier must be blocking your device.
