This is not a common issue in the AMOLED displays? I believe this is not 1+ specific...
I have similar situation - dark theme with full white background (green tint). But not (so much) perceptible when with text.

Amoled displays in samsung m series phones didn't have these tint issues. The oneplus team saying that tints are common in oled displays. Oneplus is getting worse. These tints are because of manufacturing defects. I'm not sure that they will fix through software update. If you have any issues replace or return it. Oneplus 8 pro and nord are having tint issues. If you're planning to buy these devices please note that it having unbearable tints that affect your display experience.

I too am having the same issue of this tint. When the phone is in low brightness and in dark mode I am having pink tints spreading from the right edge of the phone towards the centre. Very disappointed with it. And I having a significant sudden battery drain which I hope will be sorted by today's update which takes that too into consideration. If the display issue is a software issue please sort it out in an immediate update

I applied for an RMA online....it got cancelled by itself! I live in Mumbai and the service centre is closed. Can't do shit, using the phone at 60hz for less tint. No other option.

I went to the service center today, they said that it's a software defect which will get resolved with the new update...But I really doubt that an update will sort this out, I believe it's a hardware defect.
