I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I bought an N10 at best buy, twice. WeIt will just NOT work on Verizon. The description on the B.B. website and in store says it's unlocked for all carriers... After the second time returning another N10 one of the techs at BB pulled me aside and told me that the all of the N10s they have in store are locked to T-Mobile's network. he also said you can tell if it is locked to T-Mobile's network If the IMEI # starts with 9900, it's locked to T-Mobile network?!
Is this true? I actually went so far and switch to T-Mobile on Sunday, the signal where I live is HORRIBLE. So I am forced to stay w Verizon.
Is there any way I am able to buy an N10 that is truly unlocked? I want a oneplus and have it work on verizon without paying $700.00 for one. The nord N10 is perfect. I don't even care if if I Get 5g at this point, just a reliable 4g LTE signal. Can anyone help me?

Our N10 is factory unlocked model BE2026 (carrier locked devices have a different model number). The IMEI on this phone starts with 9900, so the tech is misinformed. But with regard to band coverage, the N10 is much better suited for T-Mobile than Verizon.

OK great, TY! I wasn't able to get 5g at all when I was on Verizon. I have a 8T now w T-Mobile and I love it but the signal here is just too spotty. So unfortunately I have to stay w Verizon. I am just going to deal with the issues on verizon and stick w OnePlus. This is such a great product!! It sucks because T-Mobile really is a great carrier, but Verizon is dominant in my area.
    TY for answering!!

'welcome, and if the T-Mobile signal issue in only at home, you could get around that with wifi calling (VoWiFi).

I use it on Verizon. I bought the unlocked version on Amazon. Works great, but no 5G.
I didn't buy it for 5G, I have wifi almost everywhere I go. just wanted a solid phone and this is it.

There are other issues with the N10 on Verizon that requires a call to the Carrier. Due to the CDMA issues, you can have issues with receiving SMS/MMS on Verizon. The fix is a call to their Tech Support and inform them you have a CDMA-less Device. They will change the line and this resolves the text issue. There has been updates in the news on Verizon moving 5G to C-Band. Based on my research, this could mean 5G on the N10. I will keep you posted.

What bands are necessary for Verizon to be compatible with N10 5G?

There would be no problem with 4G, but for texting, you need to have Verizon set your account as CDMA-less. You probably wont get 5G as Verizon is focused on the very short-range mmWave bands. Tap on "Check carrier compatibility" for the N10 in the OnePlus webstore.
