When the Focus dial is rotated to the Max point(Infinity) the camera is losing its focus, thus making the image blurry. (Image 1)

Whereas when I rotate the dial slightly backwards, the camera focuses to the infinity. (Image 2)

This issue is making it harder to capture stars and galaxy,
I thought after the update it would have gotten fixed but it certainly haven't.
OnePlus, I shall be thankful to your positive response to this little detail.

The image should be well lit. In dark, it will have trouble in focusing. Use Manual focus for this.

He stated he used manual focus. I had the same problem when trying to focus on the moon with Gcam - max manual focus was blurry when set to infinity, and moon is quite far away.
Must be a glitch in camera libs

Yeah.. and as far as I remeber this issue wasn't there when OnePlus was running on Android 10.

These are some pictures that I took back then, although they are edited a bit, but still at that time camera cloud focus perfectly when Focus Dial was set to max.
