Not getting signed in YouTube vanced even with Microg May 6, 2019

    Hi. I have non rooted one plus 6.I disabled both Chrome and default YouTube app. Then installed microG and Vanced. Then signed in with my account. But later now it shows I haven't signed in and my internet connection is down. In fact my internet works elsewhere. Later I saw XDA page for a workaround and as per it I downgraded my chrome version to 72 and and downloaded 4 months old Vanced and now I can login! Can I now update my chrome browser?

    Has everyone tried the standard solution to this issue (well documented in the XDA forum)?

    Go to settings > Apps > Vanced MicroG > settings > Google cloud messaging > advanced > set mobile network ping interval to 60 seconds

    You need the newer microG for the newer vanced versions.

    I have Vanced on old Android devices and my OnePlus 6T - all are non-root installs.

    You will probably get the best help in the XDA forum for Vanced.

    I tried all of that it gives me a network retry error I can add a account but when I add the account it says it already exists on the device so how can I remove the YouTube account from my device

    Just to be sure, you do want to login to YouTube, correct?

    If not, Vanced can be used without logging in.
    But you might be better off with NewPipe if you don't want to login.

    Some ads leak through in Vanced, but never with NewPipe.

    I get it through F-Droid:

    NewPipe (Lightweight YouTube frontend) - https://f-droid.org/app/org.schabi.newpipe

    If you don't want to use F-Droid, they will have a link to their GitHub repo in the F-Droid listing.

    Compete FLOSS, only uses YouTube's web protocols.
    Zero (0) ads.
