    1. Receive a call, don't answer.
    2. Caller leaves a voicemail.
    3. No voicemail notification appears, even days later.
    4. Reboot device.
    5. Voicemail notification is shown.

I am having the exact same problem. I am on T-mobile as well. I submitted a ticket to One Plus about this but they did not seem to have any idea what was causing this. Not sure what to do--I am afraid I am going to miss important voicemails without notification.

I am having the exact same issue. Also with T-Mobile.
Had no idea that it was happening until I randomly checked my voicemail today. Had 4 new messages. Never got any notification.

Hi everybody. I figured out a fix. Even though I have spent a lot of time on OnePlus Chat, was told to wipe the phone, and spent a remote session with One Plus they could not figure out the issue. Simply turning off "Visual Voicemail" in the phone app completely fixed the problem (even though the OnePlus people told me to make sure it was on!). In the phone app, go to Settings, then Call settings, then select your SIM card (1 or 2), then Voicemail, then switch Visual Voicemail to off. You will get voicemail alerts normally, but now you will not have visual voicemail. There is a T-mobile Visual Voicemail app that you could try to use instead, though. Hope this helps.

This did work. Hopefully, theres a software patch in the future for this issue. I can live with just a notification and not the visual voicemail.

Turning off Visual Voicemail worked for me as well. Thanks for the heads up!

There is a new OTA that says it includes optimizations for T-Mobile US. I'm assuming that means the LTE issue. Maybe this will be fixed too if we are lucky.

Check your text messaging as well. T-mobile just changed the way they recognize sms and if you have volte enabled you will not be able to send or receive texts. So there's that.

As I know, if you have installed carrier's VVM application, like T-Mobile Virtual Voicemail app, the normal voice message indication won't be shown by the system. Not sure you have installed this app or not. If yes, may be this is caused by this application.
