    Hi,

I have recently downloaded the latest oxygen update and since that has been installed Google play has stopped recognising my device as 'certified'.

I am the first owner in the UK and have never installed anything from outside of Google play. This is impacting my ability to use Google pay, which is essential. I am going to have to get a new phone for the time being as I simply cannot be locked out of Google services.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there anyway I can get my device to become re-certified again?

    Thanks,

    Joe.

Hi, did you affect security by enabling the developer menu or unlocking the boot loader?

Hi, I'm very dumb when it comes to this stuff, I literally clicked the 'download and install' notification and let it do its thing. I've not intentionally clicked anything else or enabled anything else.

    Sorry if this doesn't help.

Bought it new from Amazon around a year ago. I've been using Google pay since I've had the phone but it's now not working since the update. Not sure if it's just me or a problems that will impact others too.

Thanks for trying to help Dan, I appreciate it!

With Amazon, that creates many possibilities as to the origin of this phone since Amazon is a platform where anyone, including Amazon, can sell from. The actual model number of the phone and update number (with letters) could help. Also, it could be an app you installed that is creating the issue.

Hi, this happened to me a year or so ago (couldn't update apps or use Google pay). After much searching and contacting Google help I eventually found that my Google payment profile has been suspended.

Assuming this is the same issue, then you can type in "Google payment profile suspended" into Google search, and the option needed will be the first result pulled up (varify your identity). All instructions are there and easy to follow.

I recall it only took a couple of hours after confirming my identity, for everything to return to normal 🙂

I have the same issue after I installed the last patch two days ago.
It is not a suspended identity. It says my device is not certified.
