Pretty sure they make money from the youtube views. With such a rare phone, it's pretty much guaranteed people will watch.

Now, someone do that with a tempered glass screen protector on it. :D

As for me, I'm off to buy a TPU with raised front bezel and save my phone!

someone had to do a drop test on the OPO eventually.

good to know that the OPO can take some damage when dropped.better not drop too often, though!

yeah. it was difficult to see. but y'know what? people do drop tests on these phones all the time. the iphone was particularly bad, when they did the drop tests for those phones. they would almost crack immediately, because the entire phone was made of glass. ouch.

    Two things...

    1) Many people are complaining that this is a waste of a phone when invites are so hard to come by, but many people have also been begging for OP or someone to do a drop test!... So there you go. There's your drop test, it's only one phone out of the tens of thousands of invites OnePlus has sent out.

    2) This is why I don't understand why they went with the stupid design decision to have the screen RAISED above the "protective" bezel. The second, screen-down drop test was a no-brainer. The guy in the video could have just said, "well, obviously dropping this thing from about 5 feet flat onto it's completely unprotected screen is going to shatter the glass." The first thing I did when I got my phone was install a TPU case with an ample raised edge around the screen. With this case on it, my OPO may very well survive such a drop, though I hope I never have to find out... By the way, I accidentally performed my own drop test last night. Read about it and post your own "real-world" drop tests here: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/real-world-aka-accidental-drop-tests.94007/

I think that the "touch on lens" technology was the main reason why the touch sensitivity became not funtional after the glass broke, do not interpret this wrong I hate samsung, but my friend has a SGS 2 Plus with the same shattered glass but the touch sensitivity is fully working, guess we will have to avoid dropping it at any cost :(
