Root/custom roms has nothing to do with warranty nor repairability. Unless something done due to root/custom rom is the cause of the failure (heavy overclock for example).

If you do a factory reset and install as new device (no backups) does it still happen? Then you install apps a little bit at a time to give it some time to settle in and verify that the installed apps don't trigger some error.
And ofcourse send in an report via the feedback tool.

    Definitly NO
The reasons have been edicted hundreds of times on the forum. As many other brands will do it only Google apps Phone, Messages, Duo, etc ... are fully complying to RCS protocols for today and future networks. It is clearly known since 3 months in the press, the social networks, and retailers.

First of all check if you have the latest firmware update OnePlusOS 10.5.8. If not upgrade it or use app Oxygen Updater v4.5 (from Play Store) to help you download and store the updates in your memory.
If facing problems, check useless apps or services running in the background.
Run Malewarebytes app (free version from Play Store) to kill unwanted parasites.
Boot your smartphone into recovery mode and choose wipe cache only (not datas of course) to improve the behaviour of your Nord.

I regret for buying this bullshit Phone...NoOne pls don't buy this phone, Every one hyped me about oneplus and all i got is full of bugs..

This is my first oneplus phone...I was freaking mad that i switched from iphone.

    Issues within 4weeks:

    1) Suddenly nord rebooted automatically and i lost all my data..it factory reseted automatically.
i lost all my business contacts..

    2) After call ends the phone get stuck for around 2mints.. This is really annoying.

    3) Sound speaker stopped working as mentioned in this thread, Need to re-start device everytime this happpens.

This phone is really wierd....I contacted oneplus support and all they say is to update the software and clear cache in recovery mode...

If any one still interested in buying this phone...pls contact me, i would sell my phone for 2000 indian rupees..(bought 4weeks ago, not a single scratch, all it has is software prob. which is responsibled by the freaking company)

    Hi
In the previous updates 10.5.7 and earlier, if the smartphone in your pocket enters in reboot mode and hangs on the OnePlus logo animation there is absolutely NO loss of datas if you force the shutdown as described in the header. Then you can reboot and draw your unlock scheme to access your usual home screen. There is no reset of course.
