Notice regarding the OnePlus 5 & 5T update delay

    Hi everyone,

    I know you are all expecting a new update for the OnePlus 5 and 5T. We deeply apologize for this build's delay, which has been processed at the highest priority by the product team.

    When we tested this version internally, we found a serious bug related to the communication module. The team evaluates this issue can seriously affect the user experience. Moreover, this issue required a lot back and forth with communication carrier to solve the problems collaboratively, considerably delaying the release. In turn, this made it impossible to release the next stable OnePlus 5 and 5T version on time.

    Meanwhile, we continued listening to your feedback, and we completely understand how bad the taste of waiting is. However, due to the fact that the progress has not been clear and we didn't have an exact date to provide, we failed to communicate with users in a timely manner. We now realized this was really a mistake and had internal review for it.

    We will continue to do our best to solve the bug ASAP and also share the progress with you once we have an update on the release plan.

    Relying on the power of the community, OxygenOS gradually grows better and stronger. We will bear this in mind and keep communicate with you more openly in the future. Thank you for your understanding and support.

    I don't what more change they made if it's oos10 I don't see much problem with this oos 10 asb9f now

    I really like how OnePlus operates, unlike well-known brands, it acts more transparently, it pleases me a lot and makes me like the brand even more. this gives me the certainty that the support is competent and respects the user. I hope that they solve the audio bug of the internal recording, as it is very important to me that there is a channel on YouTube.

    I think this apology is way too late to change most of the 5T members, who felt like bashing their heads with the 5T devices....For me, I will not settle with OnePlus anymore. OnePlus, you have pushed us off big time.

    Update with working EIS. In May 2020 OnePlus has released one Android 10 update without EIS (with the assurance in the description that the update with EIS for camera will be soon). Additionally, users have complained about multiple bugs with this update. There has also been no security update for a long time.

    You do know that the apology is too late. It's like trying to revive a dead man! No use. Kindly be on your word. I am anyways moving out of OnePlus. OnePlus WAS a great brand. But now sadly it's just a lying company.

    Wasn't the 10 rollout more or less stopped? This would would probably mean they try to finish it with an proper update. So here 3 years or more does not matter. Can't end with a canceled update. So I only see continued updates a good sign. But this would probably be the last one.

    Hi Gary. Bite me. Your priority is fixed on putting the OnePlus e-commerce store in the community app, releasing t-shirts, water bottles and swiss knives.
    So you are saying that your team is unable to fix a 'serious' bug since 6 months. Well, you should fire such a team. Yeah seriously, and hire some of them xda developers who single handedly look after custom ROMs and release monthly updates including timely security patches. You see, there is a certain limit to a time period which gets categorized as a delay or late. But this is beyond madness. Its been months over months to release a hotfix, from OnePlus, a company who highlights about its community and how customer satisfaction-centric it is in their every keynote. Like there's a limit to hypocrisy man.
    Now, this here is the exact reason for my frustration. You delay, you acknowledge the delay and yet still there's no ETA from your end.
    I am clearly telling you one thing here. I seriously like OnePlus. But with this recent experience, I am never buying a OnePlus, ever. I am gonna influence as many people as I can to not buy a Oneplus, let me be very clear.
