Thanks for the update. Next time how about doing it a bit sooner. This is the worst my phone has run since I got it 38 months ago. Never having any confirmation that there would be a bug fix on what is the 'last update this phone will ever get'... was a bit of a piss off. At least you finally decided to throw us a bone.
I'm not sure if I am mad that it took so long or mad that I am ok with it. At any rate... thanks.

This is *really* disappointing! Hopefully a security update will be available soon. I am having second thoughts about updating to the nord now..

    Thoughts regarding 10.0.1 update
    Review
Does anyone else think that OP is holding out on this update till November so that they can release it and then say they're done. They technically did 3 years of updates. It's ridiculous that they screwed over a large number of 5/5T users with the Android 10 update and 3 months later...we haven't heard anything from them. I had so many issues I had to do a rollback to Android 9.

The Chinese version of OOS, Hydrogen OS, already had 10.0.1 released about a week ago which fixed some bugs, updated the security patch and gave EIS functionality back. Usually these updates are released close to each other but here we are.

I understand that they have a shit ton of devices now but the OP 5T has not yet hit EOL so where's our updates? Or at least some communication

Watch them releasing the "fix" in November and announcing that it's the EOL of Oneplus 5/5T.
Yeah, 3 updates that 2 of them are a hot mess and the 3rd is a fix. 3 years of support they said [e]1f602[/e]

It does make some sense actually. People are very unhappy with the updates and they're asking some sort of compensation. Technically is possible but OnePlus strategy is just awfull at this point.
Since they begun selling devices straight from USA carriers OnePlus has tried to become the next Samsung without having the structure and dimension to do so. Instead of launching serveral devices per year, just launch an affordable flagship and a lower cost device per year. That's it. No T series. Then try your best to deliver 3 major updates. But their mind are elsewhere and it's not in their community.
Personally my OP 5T since the android 10 update has problems concerning the fingerprint unlock, wi-fi connection and I'm unable to have a stable connection for data transfer with my computer. So the experience has been not very good.
After buying 3 devices from OnePlus I'm done with them and probably with android. Good luck for you guys! It was nice while it lasted.

The Chinese version got 10.0.2 and looks like people are still not happy with it.

I totally agree with you. It really doesn't make sense to launch this many devices a year if you can't handle them. Samsung might have those type of resources to handle this many devices but oneplus clearly don't.

being a baby of china OP will obviously fix all issues in china first, or else zing ping will do ting ting tring of OP KI TOPI....better to buy realme than investing in OP, useless brand nothing even close to being flagship killer, yeah its a killer brand in terms of copying, screwing up, killer in showing lazy bones towards fixing the issue

Out of curiosity, did you do a clean flash when installing v10? I seem to be in the minority in this forum since I decided AGAINST installing it due to the countless problems reported. It's become evident that OP is having difficulty with the OOS implementation of Android 10 REGARDLESS of device model. My 5T runs nicely with 9.0.11 so I'm sticking with it until a version without problems is released :)

OnePlus 5 series will not and never will getting Android 11 from OnePlus. Whoever believe they will get Android 11 from OnePlus for the 5 series is living in fantasy land and no longer rooted in reality.

That demand is as a compensation for so much delay in releasing stable version. If they don't do, they loose a good number of customer as you can see their frustration in the posts.
And that demand is logical not fantasy.
