Ho guys. I'm new to Android world and oneplus 5T. I have a question. Is there a way to get notifications badge count on app icon like iPhone has (those red circles with white number in the middle of it) ?

    Thank you

Use Nova launcher or wait until the Android Oreo update is released in the near future

Thank you guys. I like oneplus launcher because of simplicity and stability. It's a pity it doesn't have such functionality.

As ios guy I really like Android so far but this missing feature drives me crazy.

So one more question. You suggested to buy nova launcher prime but it seems nova launcher doesn't support badge count. Why do I have to download tesla unread? Wtf is tesla unread? :)

But what I've seen in oreo are notification dots not notification count. Or am I wrong?

You are right, they are only dots in Oreo.
Anyway the whole iOS notifications badge count is pretty pointless as Android has better nofications, you just need to get used to using them.

OK fair enough comment since you are used to iOS.
I've read that there is extra functionality with the Oreo badges that I forgot to mention. You can open extra options by long pressing on the badge. Oreo shouldn't be too far away now.
I hope you enjoy your OnePlus 5T

Yeah you are right. Just dots. I think dots are useless. They are only shown until you open a app.

As reported above with the long press on the app you can see the notifications received. I do not think there is difference between dots and number if you must tap or open the application anyway ...
