My notification bar started burning in pretty severely since beginning of july. I had immediately done a request at customer support but NEVER GOT AN AWNSER! Since then, the burn in only got worse. I find it outraging that some screens on high end phones still have this problem. Especially that it comes from something I am not responsible for! I HAVE NO CHOICE OF SHOWING THE NOTIFICATION BAR! I love my phone and really couldn't treat it better so I wish I didn't have this really bothersome problem of constantly seeing a ghost image of a big bar on this otherwise gorgeous screen. Pff. I read somewhere that customer support only was taken in account if you wrote a community post about the problem. So that's why I'm writing this. I hope there are not too many other people being bothered by this manufacturing issue. I really hope that OnePlus will take my request into account this time and replace the screen under warranty. Here are some pictures I took in july when I noticed it first. Kinda difficult to capture it on camera tho.

It's a limitation of OLED itself. Take it to a service center and get the screen replaced.

Wrote the request just after the post. But thank you for the answer!

I already wrote this few times in other threads - I had exactly the same level of statusbar icons burn-in after half year of use.
Disabling statusbar icons or/and putting most used apps (browser etc.) to fullscreen mode removed the burn-in completely after few days.
Then I enabled icons again, but I'm still using apps in fullscreen mode if available (one swipe down is not a big deal for me to check time etc.)
Display is perfect now after 10 months of use
