camohan , Oct 21, 2020 : Hi there, as far as I know, OnePlus 8T does not have a notification light at all. So notification light for notification or for battery charging is not possible Hope this helps.

iharshjjain , via OnePlus 8T Aquamarine Green , Oct 21, 2020 : Just to clear things we are getting horizon lights / notification lights for every incoming notification after the new update.. Settings -> customisation -> lock screen customisation.. Choose any color n you are good to go.

O1603502871055 , Nov 5, 2020 : I find myself missing a lot of notifications , even when my phone is on vibration I don't get a ping when a new message comes in. The bubble notifications are so miniscule especially the little notification dot that seems to blend in on profile pictures so it's very easy to miss. Really hope they bring back the notification light in a future update.

Can someone help me what's that light for? Does it only turn while using camera if so why is that?
DarshanMeniya , Dec 8, 2020 : Due to punch hole camera design and using of maximum display to view content notification light has been not installed , I know the importance of notification light but now in OnePlus 8T you can enable Horizen Light option for notification! I hope this will help you! Horizon light is alternative of notification light!

balinskaa , Dec 11, 2020 : I enabled the "Always-on ambient display", restarted the phone, and still haven't seen any Horizon lights when the notifications arrived "Horizon lights" are also on in the settings, but nothing works..
