Odd Blue border on nightscape photos via OnePlus 9 Pro

  1. G_Andy_C76_zwwb , via OnePlus 9 Pro , Dec 4, 2021 :
Hi all, I took some nightscape photos last night. I've noticed a visible blue border appeared in each of the photos. Can anyone explain?
OnePlus 9pro UK version, lastest office update.
    Thanks

And you aren’t using a lense protector?
Well, did you try taking such a picture without the case?
Did you try it also in safe mode?

Hi, The lense protectors had been removed a long time ago. The case doesn't obstruct the lense ( there's a cut out). No I didn't try the safe mode. I've taken photos in other modes and the blue doesn't appear on them, I'll post some shortly.

What I meant is, that the case can maybe reflect the light. That’s why I asked for taking a picture without the case

Ah understood, I've got the morning mist version of the phone, it has a mirror effect, the case exposes the back of the phone. If you look at the other photos the blue is still there on some but not all. Surely I'm not the only one who experiences this while taking photos of fire.

Completely understand, and I appreciate your thoughts and comments so far, I really do.
surely I'm not the only user experiencing this? Is there a way to escalate this to OnePlus for investigation!

Did you try all of my suggestions?

You can contact OnePlus via www.oneplus.com/support or/and submit a bug report via https://forums.oneplus.com/feedback/

I didn't want to clear cache and storage as you suggested, until I can recreate the what actually happened in the very first photo I posted. You can understand why.

remembering back to last night ( when I took these photos ), the phone did crash ( took around 25 photos ) and the camera preview just went blank, the UI was working but it would not allow me to see a preview or previously taken photos.

So I did have to reboot. Now that I read this back.. I'll now clear the cache and storage!
