    You should do more upper body exercises: push ups(all variations,diamonds, pseudo...),burpees,crunches;the right one, without involving hip flexors, planks... Btw try resting your muscle at least 36hours before doing it again(to prevent catabolic state). Just few basic tips for bodyweight exercises, hope it's useful :)

    I don't know about real men. But I do enjoy running outdoor as well. Along the beach or on a quiet trail.

    Actually I have a back condition and if I run outside I can not do more than 5k or my back will hurt all week. On the treadmil this does not happen. So, the best I can do to run outside is to but a treadmil on the backyard.

    try weight training, (heavy) compound movements. Get stronger/more muscles.

    that's what i've found in MY research (on the internet) anyway ..

    Start Each set with 10 kgs of weight......
    Muscles will help supporting your back.....

    I too hope some endurance boosting useful tip is on the way
