Why use custom kernel on a rom that’s not supported? (RR as stated a few post back)
    Possibility of conflict.

I think by RR he meant random reboots. Which is why I said CK.

what's the correct order for flashing?
    1 los
    2 gapps
    3 boeffla?

and should I download the beta boeffla?

    Hi TLK

    Yes. That's the correct order.
And yes it is the latest boeffla beta version. But for this latest LOS nightly it is very stable. You might not need to flash it unless you really want that

damn I flashed Beoffle and now I'm regretting it. was finally getting pretty great performance and battery on the latest builds but now it's crap in both regards.

simple answer: no. it's just made for Los and there is only support for Los from boeffla himself

    Do like this:
    - Download the latest LOS and latest open gapps to your internal memory to a specific folder (ROM, for example).
    - go to TWRP and on file manager check that the rom is really there.
    - Then "Wipe" - "Advanced Wipe", select "System" and swipe to wipe.
    - Following this, go to "Install" pick LOS, then add other zip for the open gapps, and then swipe to install.

Then at the end clear dalvik + cache and wait for your system to boot. You will be on stock again without any custom kernel and without data loss.

    Cheers

You don't need to use a custom kernel with DU - just use EX Kernel Manager and tweak the awesome stock kernel :D

Since one has to flash the kernel everyone we dirty flash the ROM, shouldn't simply dirty flashing the ROM remove the kernel instead of doing all this?

Normally the regular dirty flash of the ROM cleans first the system partition by itself. But my advice was just in case the clean is not performed.

Please see my suggestion as a fail safe advice. But of course you can do as you feel more comfortable with :)
