    "You must be unlocked!"

@SferaDev I thought the OnePlus One shipped with an unlocked bootloader? I was able to root my One, and didn't go through any bootloader unlocking phase lol

YES! So glad to see PA on the OPO!

One concern though, is this blind deved? Does the dev own a OnePlus One and has tested this thoroughly?

Nope, Shipping with an Unlocked boot loader and/or root is against Google Policy. You have to do it yourself.

But I rooted, and had the option to install twrp (not gonna install twrp yet) and I didn't have to unlock any bootloader o_O

Odd, installing a custom recovery usually requires write privileges to the bootloader (unlocked). It may say you have the option, but it will fail to install without the bootloader unlocked.

But you can acquire root without unlocking the bootloader in some cases. Usually uses perf_event exploit through adb to acquire it. And it gets patched with updates sometimes.

I would try to install the custom recovery, but that would break the OTA updates from cyanogen, correct?

Well, OTAs in general may cause you to lose root even with an OTA root keeper. But you can flash OTAs when people release them through flashable zips from the official image. There are ways to bypass losing the OTA features on some devices though. Not sure how it works on the OPO.

Ahh ok. Well im not in any rush to install a custom ROM right now, so i'll just wait for some more official info on how OTA's will work

You can check the CM website. I'm sure they have some information on how it works. Usually uses a signature from the bootloader. And when you unlock it, it changes the signature, thus rendering OTAs unavailable. When my OPO finally stops pending shipment and I receive it, I'll be able to give you some more info on it. =)

I have just installed it on my OPO and it looks very nice. Just I see that the quick menu (wifi, bluetooth and so on) is missing in the scroll down notifications menu? is there any way to add it back?
