As outta nowhere, PA is friggin back

I'm putting this thread here for all the people who want to try it now, with the instructions and other stuff if needed. I think y'all must be knowing PA isn't by me (lol :p) but yeah I need to write : I take no credits for all the links and stuff, everything is by their respective owners. So let's enter PARANOIA.

    instructions.png

Prerequisites : Your bootloader should be unlocked and you should have a working TWRP as per your firmware.

IF YOU'RE ON ROMS HAVING OLD FIRMWARE :
    (OOS2/BUILDS DATED BEFORE 3RD JUNE)

    • Clean flash latest OOS3, then flash Official TWRP recovery right after that.
    • If you want, you can skip step 1 and flash the firmware switch zip linked below. It'll give you both the new firmware and hybrid TWRP. If you're fine with hybrid TWRP then great, otherwise I'll recommend flashing Official TWRP recovery right after that.
    • Wipe everything except internal storage.
    • Flash PA and Bank/Open Nano GApps
    • It is recommended to flash other things/mods after the first boot and setup is done, NOT along with ROM and GApps.
    • First boot will take time, tricking you into thinking that it is a bootloop, but wait patiently lol :D

IF YOU'RE ON ROMS HAVING NEW FIRMWARE :
    (OOS3/BUILDS DATED AFTER 3RD JUNE)

    • You should have latest Official TWRP recovery.
    • Wipe everything except internal storage/
    • Flash PA and Bank/Open Nano GApps
    • It is recommended to flash other things/mods after the first boot and setup is done, NOT along with ROM and GApps

✐ If you're getting FC's in themes section, clear data and cache of Themes and Themes Provider, reboot.
✐ If you apply some theme and it doesn't have some/many elements themed, don't worry. This ROM is new and so is the source and under the hood stuff. Contact your theme's respective themers to add support for new PA.
✐ PA has integrated CMTE, so no RRO/Layers.
✐ This ROM doesn't support F2FS, so if you have that then don't go for this ROM. You might lose your data, encounter bootloops and mess up with partitions. If you don't know what F2FS is, go ahead flashing PA lol ;)

The ROM is just announced, there may be various issues popping up. If you're going to try it then be sure you've all your data and necessary things backed up.
I'll be updating the thread with more stuff, do ask in comments if you've any queries :)

    Thanks mate :)
Yeah the ROM is totally amazing considering it's just a new start, there's more to come ;)
There should be a QS tile with floating peek, you can enable it from there. Then you can access it via it's icon on your recent cards, or you can even access it from your heads up notifications.

He is not the developer of the ROM. And Paranoid Android guys are the ones behind OxygenOS . They do some unique features which one surely loves.

This is not a feature thread for PA. It is for discussions and instructions about the ROM. You can Google what PA is, what're it's features and etc stuff. Btw it feels awkward if someone doesn't know what PA is because PA has been out there from long. No offense tho lol ;)
You can see the features and stuff on http://get.aospa.co and pinned post here https://plus.google.com/communities/112514149478109338346

I'm trying PA 6.0 on my old Nexsu 4 cos I don't want to mess up my OP2 (not now with OOS working!).
Seems that it works fine it's only a bit more than AOSP I was a bit disappointed with PA 5.1.1 for the same reason..
I'll stay on OOS (or maybe CM13 when we will get the first snap) on my OP2.

I agree currently it's just a bit more than AOSP, but the kernel is purely optimized for OP2 plus some good theming customizations (battery icon and bootanimation lol) are there. Fluidity is the main point here. Though as now they've CMTE, I guess in coming days they're gonna add nice features

Why doesn't it have a pre-installed File Manager? It was really useful.

That's the normal CM Snapdragon Camera, just based on CAF sources.
I'd recommend you to flash the OOS camera on it if interested.
