[Submitted to Jira] Oil painting effect, very soft pics/No sharpness at all

    Ph3NoM, Dec 14, 2017 :
After the latest update the oil painting effect js still prevalent in my 5T. It is very much visible when the photo is zoomed in. Tried the Google HDR+ camera on my device, lronically it produces better images just through its software processing. 5T has very capable hardware, but it cranks up the ISO so much at night which results in so much noise and loss of detail. Request OP team to keep the ISO in check or use the Google HDR+ algorithm for their low light shots

google camera hdr+ port takes way better photos using oneplus hardware in low light than the stock camera on the 5T itself. Havr a look

This is because oneplus 5t cranks up the iso to maximum value of 9600 and over processes the pic to compensate for lack of ois and sharpness. If only oneplus had opted for OIS, the result would have been different. HDR algorithm is sibpar when compared to Google's HDR algo.

Oh yes, but can't use it anymore because I don't trust this device anymore: lost all personal data twice and had to send it to repair center to replace the board... Also no OS Updates - dropped software support 1 year after release: no go for a expensive flagship smartphone.
