I don't know if my phone's display is defective or it's a software issues related. With a certain level of brightness (30-45%), my phone's display show a white glowing effects on the button of display and some ugly white light with a middle line which is not what an OLED display normally should be. The problem only occurs when with black color and in the very dark surrounding. I got my phone from China. I'm not sure what should I do now? Am I the only one who has this problem? Please excuse for my English.

The line looks suspicious though. Not sure about the other one. Some things is hard to catch on camera in a good way. Could be part of black smear/purple haze. People have samples of what it is on YouTube.

I just noticed that the problem disappeared after turning on motion enhancer in the setting. Could it be a software bug? Can you check if your device has the same issue at 30 to 40% brightness when watching video with pure black background? Thanks.

I'll try it out later today. If I manage to replicate an issue I'll report it via the feedback tool.

Oled doesn't bleed from the edges as all if the pixels are their own light source. it looks to me like you have a cheap knock off with an lcd display. any more pics of the device? maybe a system info screenshot?

I can confirm the display is OLED as I can get pure black background if I turn the brightness below 30% or above 45%. The problem is also not present in some apps like gallery, chrome, or photo.

I have had the phone for just a little over a month, but I only noticed the problem recently. And I still can't get it replaced yet for now. I need to contact the seller to send it back to China (Where I bought the phone).

But now didn't show any tag while play any video. Kindly fix this issue..this is flagship device and this is not acceptable from OnePlus.

What happens if you simply use a other version of YouTube?

I didn't get you. Sometimes it's work, but most of times it's won't. Graphic motion smooth is very attractive while working.

There have been certain YouTube versions that never worked. In some cases a other version fixed it. So changing the YouTube version might help.

It happens to me too at 30-45% brightness the display blacks are like LCD even though i have a new mobile op 9 pro and in my opinion it's a software issue or the screen was made this way for clear real life accurate colours to check if your oled is original download a black colour and turn the brightness to full if it's like the screen is off then don't worry your led is original.
When using mx player brightness between 15 to 19% the blacks are exposed while below 15 and above 20 it's good and it happens on netflix at certain brightness i think it's not your oled problem dont worry.Thanku
