Even if I had the nexus I would root it and run cyanogenmod, so they would be almost identical other than the cheaper pricing of the 1+. Also the nexus charges an absurd amount for the upgrade from 16 ->32 gb.

OP already confirmed that its the firmware for the touchpad (if you believe them) which is causing the issues and that they can't do anything because they are not responsible for touchpad software, the manufacturer is.

You say you hope they fix the manufacturing process so that new devices don't have the problem. What about me and all the others who already bought the OPO? We just have a faulty device forever? What the hell. And I can't return it or get my money back since CS is ignoring me.

The telephone is a good way to talk to people without having to offer them a drink.

I thought you were referring to the accidental activation of functions while the device is for example in your pocket. I didn't get the news ;-) . Are there other issues one might want to know about the touchpad?

I am sorry that you received a faulty device. I wasn't trying to be mean spirited or something like that towards people that suffer from this defect. As for returning the device, what is your story? Because if the device has a defect is OP not required to replace it? That would indeed be very shitty of them.
Although hopefully they are just in over their head and take a ridiculous time to respond because of that. How long have you been waiting?

Since I already own the OPO... OnePlus One, but if I didn't have it, I would still wait for an invite.

So many rumours about the Nexus 6 but you won't know until its released, if its released! I like the Nexus 5 but the One just stands out with its spec!

there are the multitouch problems and ghost touch problems, even with single clicks the device is unresponsive from time to time. The pocket issue is just then minor problem.

    well my story short is:
Yellow band, rattling case, and all sorts of touch problems you can think of (just Google it you will find plenty). Contacted support on the 27th July. First they wanted video proofs. I delivered them proofs from my YouTube uploads. Since then, no answer. Now I opened a PayPal customer protection to get some support. Still no answer from OP. And by the way typing this was a real pain in the *** on my opo, again touch issues (I can feel soft electricity flowing through my fingertips when touching the display, just to point out how bad my device is...)

If you're patient and want to support OnePlus - One, if you don't get the invite by then, maybe Nexus is an answer..

I'm interested in what OnePlus does in 2015.
There are a lot of new devices coming out with the same or better specifications. I think Google is paying close attention to OnePlus in deciding what internals the Nexus 6 will have. With rumors that Motorola's developing the next Nexus, it could be very good or simply similar to the Moto x+1. We shall see, only time will tell. During that time you mind as well try for an invite and if you get one, I say purchase ASAP. It truly is a great device.

The question is, what will be the eBay price for a used OPO once the whole invite stuff is gone. I doubt you will get more than 200$...
