One out of 2 OnePlus 7 Pro is now Dead

    Just had this shutdown for the first time, thank god its a saturday! This really sucks I can't depend on my phone for an alarm clock now...I haven't had an issues like this with a phone since gingerbread.

    I'm running 9.5.10.GM21AA

    In other words, the next update that support says is 9.5.12? Will after so many attempts Oneplus will definitely solve this problem? I don't think even oneplus knows if this problem is software or hardware.

    The issue is still there with the new build, I am running on a 7 Pro the last build 9.5.11 and I just had a shutdown while using camera, it is the 3rd one in 2 days including other two with the old build. I posted full details in the Feedback section, hopefully they' ll get back asap with a fix cause I' m loving the phone, and this issue has been known around for weeks now.

    I' m still waiting for a reply from OnePlus since I posted a few ago on the Feedback forum, but hopefully they will come back for all cause on the web it' s plenty of reports.

    I want to buy a oneplus 7 pro, so I am following various topics from various problem reports. And every time a new update comes out I read all the reports, until a next update comes out to read which problems continue and which ones have been resolved. I have no smartphone for 1 year, and 2 years ago I have been following the releases of oneplus.

    Do you have OP7 pro? Is yours absent from all complaints? Are you satisfied with your device?
    I really want an OP, so I look forward to resolving the worst issues. Not being hardware, software I take good, even because there will be corrections.

    Just had the 4th shutdown in 3 days, this time just by opening the camera app. I updated the feedback post with it, anyway software or not keeps being related to the camera the issue for me.

    Let's see what will be the solution that the OP will give to customers. If the problems were all software was easier to fix, the problem is whether or not it is hardware.

    Well Good to know people are acknowledging the issues they facing with oneplus7pro..

    As per the support chitchat they mention about a update coming by , but how do we apply the update if the phone wont even start up or go in to any development mode..

    Been days now , I had to buy RenoZ to use as a alternative ..cant digest the expensive shit getting wasted...

    Thanks for the updates, please send in your views or findings..

    Do not buy one!!!!!!!!!
    This phone has a serious flaw, why would you want it? Yes it looks nice, feels nice, but it doesn't work!!
    It's a heck of a lot of money for something that doesn't do what it's supposed to.
    Move on and find something else.
    That's my advice and you can choose whether to accept or ignore, but I'm genuinely trying to help out.

    Didnt buy one because of all the complaints, been there dont that and it didnt get fixed.
    The issue is hardware( grounding) and that is causing the crashes. Provided they have isolated the issue and dependent on what it is, future batches may not have the issue if it is not a fundamental flaw.

    You could collate batch numbers if you are serious about trying to get one without the issue.

    People that say they have no issues shouldn't be commenting here to be quite honoust... thats a dead giveaway that we know.

    To be honoust I only had it once that I had to use the volume up and power button to restart the phone.
    It froze while playing a game and when I got a message from somebody.

    After that the screen was black and the fingerprint sensor was showing but not working anymore. When I put my finger on the sensor it gave a weird triangle type super bright green logo on the screen in the middle. It didnt work so had to restart the phone like that. And I have been using the phone for almost 3 / 4 weeks.

    It didn't scare me yet as it was just this once but I certainly hope its not gonna happen again.

    Not to be a total stick in the mud, but after I got my second device(after returning my first one). I never had any of these power on issues, and that's on beta software, DP and MP. That's from early june till now. So I am pretty sure it's a hardware failure from lack of production control in one of their facilities. Just my two cents on the Issue
